Write a multi-paragraph essay (at least 2 paragraphs and 300 words) that fully develops the topic on the use of politics in literature. Iqbal sits in the middle of several horrible conflicts: (1) the religious conflict between the Pakistani Muslims and the Hindu Indians, (2) the Postcolonial Conflict created when the British removed trops from the countries, (3) political corruption in all levels of the government, (4) a caste system that dictates “love laws” and other aspects of their societies, and (5) a masculine driven system that devalues women. Select three of the conflicts that are evident in our excerpt from the novel and illustrate how Forster’s interpretation of political writing is evident in the writing. Make sure to use examples from both Train to Pakistan and HTRLLAP that are properly formated. Make sure to pay specific attention to your use of MLA Format and the writing rubric in writing because they will constitute the majority of your grade on this essay. Make sure to give clear examples and provide properly cited evidence where needed. Look over the Rubric for this essay and the Writing Checklist before turning in the final draft.
