Briefly (.5-.75 of a page) summarize the key points of the theory as it pertains to personality. Make sure to briefly describe your own biases and assumptions as they interact with the theory.
Discuss how this theory framework would apply to the vignette below (2-2.5 pages). Feel free to add any appropriate details to the story to help your analysis.
Frank has always had difficulties making friends. Growing up, he was very shy and was the victim of bullying. He really only made 1 solid friendship in his life so far. They went to college together and started their own business together after graduation. His friend, George, knew him better than anyone else. However, when they were in their mid-40s, George passed away unexpectedly, and Frank sank into a deep grief. After a few years of mourning, he began trying to make new friends, but always felt like he was not capable of being appreciated, being funny, or generally fun to be around. He has stopped himself from trying and has yet to make another close friend.
Describe at least 2 reasonable strengths and 2 reasonable weaknesses of the theory (1-1.5 pages).
Pull in a research article (original research, literature review, or meta-analysis) that either uses/discusses this theory’s framework and discuss any significant changes to the original framework (e.g., do they change any definitions? Do they make any additions or subtractions)? (1-1.5 pages)
