Consider all information from the case study and associated data. In your explanation of your completed problem statement, consider the following:
A problem statement confirms that the variables relate to each other properly and that correlation and causation have been applied correctly.
A problem statement describes the organizational problem.
A problem statement describes the desired outcome.
A problem statement should describe why it is important to solve the problem and the impacts a successful or unsuccessful resolution will have on the organization.
Perform a root cause analysis for the identified problem to determine the scope. Use the data provided and information in the case study to further refine your analysis. Include your completed Pareto charts with your root cause analysis with an explanation of each chart. In your report, include a discussion of your findings from the individual production lines and how they compare to the entire area.
Create a fishbone diagram for inclusion with your report.
Each section of the diagram should contain 3–5 items.
Describe how these items relate to the root cause of the problem and how they might give insights about solutions to the problem.
