Now that you have had some time to organize your management team and make decisions for your
firm, it is time to report to the board of directors. Each member of the team will prepare a report for their area of
responsibility in the firm.
Your report should demonstrate knowledge of the issues in your area of management, as well as an
understanding of how your responsibilities are connected with other areas in the firm. Based on the analysis in the reports, management
should be able to present a clear plan for the future to the board.
The following may prove helpful in guiding you through the
process.

2. Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats (SWOT).
3. Strategy going

4. Projected performance.

As part of this class, you learned about a number of topics in marketing that
affect the organization as well as our society.
For your final paper in this class, I am asking you to research and
write a paper on a topic that relates to the role of marketing either within an
organization or its role in society. More
specifically, pick a topic that might falls under any of the chapters that we
learned about as part of this class and discuss its important role in either
the organization or in society.
If you are more interested in the latter (marketing’s role or influence
in society), feel free to expand to discuss corporate social responsibility or
ethics. This is a particularly
interesting area of research and there are fruitful opportunities to learn
about the topic.
The
idea is that your paper will discuss how marketing (or certain aspects of
marketing) plays an important role today within the organization or within society. This must be addressed in the paper in
some manner. This role may be positive
or negative.
Critical Components of the Paper
1)
Make
sure you demonstrate a clear understanding of the topic you are researching.
2)
Integrate
the existing literature on the topic into your paper. Although it’s fine to pull quotes from the
literature, do not overdo this. This is
your work. And make sure you cite the
quotes appropriately. Too many quotes can trigger plagiarism. (See more on this
below.)
3)
As
you discuss this paper, consider the following: Why is this topic
important? Use critical analysis and
critical thought. Do not just
summarize. Analysis, synthesize and
extend the information that is out there.
Explain how your paper contributes to what is known about the topic.
4)
The
paper should be between 12 and 15 pages double-spaced with 12 point type and
with normal margins. Do NOT put extra space between paragraphs. Please include a bibliography (this counts within
the 12-15 pages) with a minimum of 8
references, and the paper must be referenced properly. MLA Format.
